A 27-year-old man was taken to a local hospital for treatment early Saturday afternoon after suffering an amputated finger in a rope accident at Escondido Falls in Malibu. Officials from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Malibu Search and Rescue team responded to an emergency call at 12:45 p.m, according to SAR official David Katz. Saturday. The man, a nursing student, was hiked from the falls by fire and ambulance personnel to a waiting ambulance.Â
