The 31st Annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon, presented by fitness company Equinox, is geared up to take place on September 16-17 at Zuma Beach. The race includes various divisions from the classic distance course to the Herbalife international distance course. Celebrities often join in on the fun; past famous participants include: Alfred Enoch from “How to Get Away with Murder,” Julie Bowen from “Modern Family,” Rainn Wilson from “The Office” and CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta. Professional athlete participants include Amanda Beard, Conor Dwyer, Rudy Garcia-Tolson and Victor Ortiz.
Currently, the triathlon is hosting swim clinics to those who register and raise money. The last two clinics are set to take place on Aug. 26 and Sept. 9 at Zuma Beach. Money raised from the triathlon will support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and its pediatric cancer research department.
