Twinkling lights glistened and shimmered and music could be heard, as coaches carrying princesses and their dates arrived at Malibu Presbyterian Church for the annual Father Daughter Valentine Dance on Saturday night. It didn’t take long for girls to “Step into the Story” and hit the dance floor with their dads. The theme, “Once Upon A Time,” played throughout the venue, with cozy book nooks and a fireplace and chairs to rest one’s weary feet. DJs spun a variety of popular music, while dancing feet moved and grooved to the beat, girls dancing with their friends, dads or volunteers.
The enchanted evening included a variety of other activities for those who with two left feet or who just don’t like to dance—including arts and crafts, basketball, face painting and a photo booth. A buffet dinner and dessert bar fueled partygoers enjoying the festivities… and in no time at all it was “happily ever after”—until next year.
