Eleven Arrests Made During Recent DUI Checkpoint

The DUI checkpoint conducted by the Malibu/Lost Hill’s Sheriff’s Station last Friday, Aug. 28 in Malibu netted 11 arrests according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

Of the 1,297 drivers who drove through the checkpoint 829 were checked by deputies. 

– Seven unlicensed drivers were arrested and sent to court.

– Four vehicles were released according to DUI checkpoint procedures.

– Two people were arrested for driving with a suspended license and sent to court.

– One DUI suspect was arrested.

– One warrant suspect was also arrested and sent to court.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department plans on conducting additional DUI checkpoints and patrols throughout the year in their commitment to keep drunk drivers off the road.
