The Malibu High School mock trial team ended another successful season in late November. Out of 100 Los Angeles County school teams, MHS finished in the top 12. It lost in the second round of this season’s playoffs—held at Stanley Mosk Courthouse in LA—to San Marino High School.
The roster includes:
* 12th graders: team captain Bennett Cohen, Sohrob Eslamieh, Dustin Hartuv, Moorea Morrison, Louie Putterman and Olivia Thonson
* 11th graders: Collette Aldrich, Jessica Ford and Jude Iredell
* 10th graders: Charles Beck, Whitney Clarfield, Miela Efraim, Pardis Eslamieh, Ashlyn Kunerth, Juliette Larsen and Jibriel Taha
* Ninth graders: Kimya Afshar, Ava Bradley, Kylie McNulty and Kimya Afshar
The team’s advisor is MHS social studies department chair Jordan C. Ervin.
