The following incidents were reported between 6/3 – 6/8 

6/3

Surf grab

An iPhone and wallet containing $150 were stolen from a vehicle parked an Malibu Surfrider Beach. The victim left his keys on the axel behind the rear passenger side wheel; when he called AAA to unlock his vehicle, he quickly noticed his belongings were stolen. 

Burglary business

More than $4,000 worth of property was damaged inside a business near Surfrider Beach. A window was shattered and materials including WIFI router, cable box, drywall, “Milwaukee” jack hammer and tool box containing tools were damaged inside the building.

What’s missing

The front entry door of a business was broken into on Pacific Coast Highway, damaging a lock worth $500. All other entries were secured. The area behind the cash register had been ransacked; however, missing items were unable to be determined during the time of investigation.

Lost and found

Deputies responded to an On Star pinging a stolen vehicle. Deputies contacted the owner and when the owner picked up his vehicle, he noticed an envelope with $3,000 was stolen from the front passenger seat as well as his wallet containing miscellaneous credit cards was missing from the center console of the vehicle. Owner said he had parked his car on Busch Drive.
