Longtime Junior Lifeguard coordinator Bill Krauss, pictured here at Zuma Beach, is the recepient of the inaugural Junior Lifeguard Award from LA County Fire, in honor of his 48-year career patrolling Los Angeles County beaches and “teaching, encouraging, mentoring and introducing hundreds of junior lifeguards and students into the Los Angeles Ocean Lifeguard family.”
