Malibu resident Veronica Dunne won the Music Center Spotlight Award for “Non-Classical Voice” last month during an award ceremony at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Dunne recently graduated from Oaks Christian School, where she performed in a number of theater productions, including “Into the Woods,” “Our Town” and “Footloose,” among others. She was also the winner of the “Search for Cinderella Contest” at the El Portal Theatre and performed in a production of “Cinderella.” Additionally, Dunne was recently named the OCS Thespian of the Year and was honored with the Artist of the Year in the Eighth Annual National Youth Arts Awards for 2012-2013 season.
In the fall, Dunne plans to attend Carnegie Mellon University, where she will continue her education in the performing arts.
