Without Malibu Urgent Care, Malibu would have no medical care available after hours, on weekends and during holidays.
Friends of Malibu Urgent Care is a nonprofit organization that funds these after hours. Otherwise, Malibu Urgent Care could not afford to stay open these additional hours, 365-days a year.
Imagine having to drive to Santa Monica or Thousand Oaks for urgent care—especially during summer gridlock. Malibu is not large enough to support a hospital, but we are fortunate to have an urgent care that is staffed daily by board-certified ER doctors.
For the past eight years, we have been working toward building a new, state-of-the-art urgent care facility in Malibu’s Civic Center area. Unfortunately, the proposed Reiner Initiative would be detrimental to everything we have worked hard to achieve. While some shopping centers would be exempt from this initiative, the location where our new urgent care is to be located would be in jeopardy of never being built.
Please support Malibu Urgent Care.
