The Malibu Rotary Club hosted a fundraising dinner to benefit local residents, the Bonewitz family. Kim and Michael Bonewitz, who had three children of their own, adopted the five children of Marie Jordanou after she passed away from cancer.
Maggie Luckerath organized the dinner, which took place at Chipotle in Malibu. Chipotle donated 50 percent of money earned that evening to the Rotary Club, which then donated the money to the Bonewitz family. The check for $8,817.62 included money raised at Chipotle, as well as private donations that had been mailed to the club.
