This letter was addressed to L.A. County Beaches and Harbors, Malibu Mayor Jeff Jennings and city councilmember Pamela Conley Ulich.
This is to inform you of an ongoing trash problem that needs to be addressed on Broad Beach.
Every week, a tremendous amount of trash is accumulated on the sand at the end of Zuma Beach and where Broad Beach begins.
The “sand tractor” literally drags the sand and all the trash toward that end, and drops it off.
There is a large bump there and during high tide, it is all dragged out in the water and drifts back on the beach.
Please let us know what you intend to do about this serious problem.
