Malibu Coach Bruce Young (far right) and the Sharks’ Gabriel Rapoport (far left) join boys and girls at the City of Malibu tennis camp last summer.

As summer slump sets in, get the kids out of the house and keep them learning with one of the City of Malibu’s summer day camps.

The city is offering a variety of athletic and educational day camps to suit many interests, from summer staples such as soccer and tennis to unique experiences like cooking and LEGOs. Most camps are for children ranging from ages 5 to 14, although exact ages vary by camp.

Most camps are four or five days long, and can be attended on a daily or weekly basis. Prices begin at $25 per day, or $115 for the whole session, but vary from camp to camp. Registration can be completed in advance online, by mail, or in person. Participants can also register day-of with an additional $10 fee. For more information, visit the city website.
