A man allegedly robbed the Dume Plaza Pharmacy in Malibu Monday morning, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials. The alleged robber, Marc Gumpert, is now in custody.
Gumpert went into the pharmacy this morning armed with a knife and crowbar, according to a witness, and allegedly robbed the store. Witnesses followed him to a local motel, where Sheriff’s deputies apprehended him.
He was taken into custody and arrested, and shortly thereafter was taken to a hospital for observation. It is not known at this time what Gumpert took from the store, or whether he was armed.
