Dog park not disabled friendly

I was very gratified to view the new Trancas Park. It certainly enhances the area and gives a sense of community spirit. However, I have a comment regarding the poor design of the dog play area. Many dogs, young as well as old, have physical disabilities such as hip dysplasia and arthritic joints. It will be extremely difficult if not impossible for many to walk up the steep stairs or the ramp going into their play area.

Some people may feel these dogs should not have accessibility into these areas, just because they are physically unable to participate in running and romping. They still enjoy the socializing. What a shame for some of our beloved four-legged family member to be denied this pleasure!
