The charity bike ride's participants make their way down the California coast.

The Pablove Foundation will host Pablove Across America, a seven-day fundraising bike ride to raise money for pediatric cancer research that will end on Saturday, Oct. 7, in Malibu. The 45 participants arrive in Malibu after seven days of riding down the California coast. It will conclude at the Trancas Country Market, where the Pablove cofounders will give a welcome speech, a presentation and finally, begin the festivities. The foundation will present a $250,000 Accelerator Award Grant—a competitive grant co-awarded with the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles—to Dr. Muller Fabbri, MD, PhD, from the hospital’s Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases.

The race started nine years ago when Jeff Castelaz and Jo Ann Thrailkill lost their six-year-old son to a rare form of cancer. The Pablove Foundation was born after the couple received an outpouring of support and donations.

Guests are encouraged to ride their bicycles to the event. The festivities will go from 12-3 p.m. at Trancas Country Market (30745 Pacific Coast Highway).
