Donald Smith died last month while on vacation in Hawaii. His wife Mary and daughter Rosalind were at his side.
He served in the Royal Air Force during WWII, married Mary in 1950 and had two children, Trevor and Rosalind.
He was an aviation engineer, working mostly on secret programs for Canadian Ltd. Montreal and Lockheed Corp. in CA.
“He loved sailing, was past commodore of Malibu Yacht Club in its ‘heyday,’ enjoyed morning walks along Zuma Beach and eating out at favorite restaurants in Malibu,” a loved one said. “He loved dancing until we ran out of places to dance in Malibu.”
His ashes will be scattered off the Big Island of Hawaii by his daughter and her husband, who live at Captain Hook, HI.
“Goodbye, my love,” Mary said.
