Genevieve Ball of the Genevieve Ball Insurance Agency sought to honor her brother, Nathan Ball, and Jennings Spangle, another Malibu High School graduate, who are currently serving in Afghanistan as U.S. Marines by sponsoring and hosting a care package drive at Malibu High School’s open house last Thursday evening. The drive was supported by MarineParents.com, Inc., a nonprofit group that ships more than 1,000 care packages to our troops overseas at least five times per year.

“I honor my brother and his fellow Marines by reminding our local communities of the men and women who are sacrificing themselves for our country and that they need our continuous love and support,” Ball said.

Ball raised more than $400 to sponsor care packages that will be shipped to our Marines currently serving overseas. Ball will be accepting donations to sponsor care packages as well as care package items such as food, travel-size toiletries and other needed materials through June 30.

Ball asks that those interested in additional information contact her at the Genevieve Ball Insurance Agency in Malibu at gball@farmersagent.com or 310.924.2309.
