The Malibu High School varsity football team defeated St. Genevieve, 38-21, on the road last week to improve its record to 3-0. This is the first time in school history the Sharks have opened their season undefeated through three games.

Tailback Sean Conrad rushed for a school-record 392 yards, giving him a total of 846 on the season. He added four touchdowns on the night, bringing his season total to seven.

“It feels great,” Conrad said. “I couldn’t do it without my offensive line.”

Junior quarterback Victor Tyler threw his first touchdown pass of the season, a long strike to senior tight end Justin Hale. Junior linebacker Jesse Conrad added a pivotal interception for the Shark’s defense.

“We have all worked very hard, and it is starting to pay off,” Tyler said.

The Sharks return to action Friday at home to face Viewpoint (1-2) at 7:00 P.M. in an attempt to continue their undefeated season.
