The Malibu Times is pleased to announce an additional winner of the 2018 Citizenship Awards—Logan Epstein of Webster Elementary School.
Although Epstein just completed fifth grade, her resume is impressive. She was a two-year member of the Leadership Team and joined a number of extracurricular activities, including Code Like A Girl, Lego Robotics/Coding and Math Club. She also participated in an interschool math competition, schoolwide spelling bee, and multiple science fairs and talent shows.
When not at school, she took piano, gymnastics and ballet lessons. As an eight-year ballet dancer, Epstein performed “The Nutcracker” twice with the Pacific Festival Ballet.
Her nomination letter reads, “There are a multitude of things that make Logan a good citizen. She has an incredibly hard work ethic and relentless perseverance. She consistently goes above and beyond, and takes incredible pride in all she does.”
It goes on to describe Epstein as honest, loyal and as someone who looks out for others.
