Our Lady of Malibu hosted its second Annual Art Show and Family Fun Night last week, which showcased the creations of children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Event-goers were treated to a variety of student art and a family style outdoor picnic.
The Art Show is a collaboration between two programs. One is Meet the Masters, which is run by “Art Angels,” or parents who volunteer to help teach art history to children, and the other is run by middle school art teacher Patrice Wachs, who helps inspire and encourage the students’ creativity. The children choose a master and work with whatever medium that master used in order to create their own pieces of artwork.
