High Wind Advisory In Effect

Wind Advisory

Gusty winds have prompted a Hazardous Weather Advisory for coastal communities and canyons, according to the National Weather Service.

Wind strengths should increase throughout the morning,  peaking in the later morning into the early afternoon.

The Advisory warns of possible driving difficulties through canyons and passes as winds could reach up to 40 MPH.

An elevated level of rip currents will also affect beaches as the King Tides make a splash on the shore. The King Tides will bring high tides around 9:15 a.m. with waves up to 20 feet.

Expected high temperatures in Malibu should reach around 71 degrees, with a low temperature of 58 degrees.

Another large swell is expected to pass through Malibu on Wednesday.
