On Sunday, Dec. 11, the Malibu Adamson House Foundation and California State Parks had a joyous holiday party open to all of Malibu, honoring the retirement of one of its long time docents, Charlotte Laubach. The historic building was decked out in holiday splendor, and over 100 people attended, ate delicious tacos and toured the Adamson House — all for free.

I know personally that The Malibu Times was informed of this event well ahead of time (which was covered very well by other Malibu newspapers), but there was not a word or picture about it in The Malibu Times.

The latest issue of The Malibu Times was filled with pictures of the swearing in of “The Three Amigos,” the Woodie Parade, Johnny Strange’s legacy, a press conference in Beverly Hills about the film “Passengers,” a tribute band, Malibu City Hall’s holiday open house, the beach access gate being fined by the Coastal Commission, a Chanukah concert, but not a picture of this event at Malibu’s crown jewel, the Adamson House, and its 100-plus guests.

Where were you?
