The City of Malibu hosted its annual Easter Hoppening event last Friday afternoon. Excitement filled the air as children arrived at Malibu Bluffs Park, a week late due to rain but with spirits undampened. Kids came to the event all decked out in bunny ears and carrying Easter baskets, ready to have fun. The baseball field was sprinkled with colorful plastic eggs.
Children of all ages had the opportunity to hunt for eggs, with six separate egg hunts scheduled according to age.
Once it was over, the eggs were collected and prizes were given out, donated by generous sponsors.
A variety of activities were available for a fun family afternoon.
“Over 400 people came out to the event … It was great way to bring the Malibu community together at Malibu Bluffs Park to celebrate spring,” said Adrianna Fiori, recreation coordinator for the City of Malibu. “I loved seeing the children’s reactions to all the fun activities the event had to offer.”
