Pepperdine University’s diving team led the pack at the 2009 Cal Poly Swimming and Diving Shootout in San Louis Obispo last weekend. Proving to be their own toughest competition, the Waves claimed the first through third and fifth positions off both the one-meter and three-meter springboards.

Junior Tiffany Martz won the one-meter competition with 241.10 points, and sophomore Leslie Wade won the one-meter competition with 237.35 points, claiming her first title of the season. Freshman Jenna Tenwolde placed first in the three-meter springboard event on both days of competition, scoring a season high of 245.00 points.

Overall this season, Pepperdine divers have won seven straight competitions against the opposition to start the year, with Martz winning four of the seven competitions. Divers spring back into action Dec. 11 at the 2009 Finis Collegiate Invitational in Long Beach.
