All five community members running for the two vacant City Council seats in this November’s election came out to The Malibu Times Candidate Education Workshop on Aug. 24. The event, held at city hall, featured a number of speakers, including political consultant Larry Levine; City of Malibu staff Reva Feldman, Christi Hogin and Susan Dueñas; current council members Laura Rosenthal and Jefferson “Zuma Jay” Wagner; and Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District School Board Member Craig Foster.
The workshop was sponsored by Pepperdine University, Hughes Research, Malibu Association of Realtors and the Malibu Dolphin Charitable Foundation.
