Members of the Malibu Woman’s Club recently donated toys to Los Angeles County Fire Department Station No. 71 for its Spark of Love toy drive. Among those helping with the effort were Woman’s Club patron member Ted McKay.

Although this 46-year-old nonprofit organization consists of women residing in Malibu, there are other membership classifications for those who support the purpose of the club, such as McKay. The club extends an invitation to all interested Malibu residents to join as a patron member for 2008. The patron members show support for the educational goals of the club and are encouraged to participate in all their activities. The cost of patron membership is $50 per year. The Malibu Woman’s Club supports the community’s schools with scholarships for Malibu students. The club additionally responds to the community’s needs with contributions to worthy individuals or organizations located in Malibu.

For those interested in making a donation or joining as a patron member, contact Bobbi Hurst, membership chair, at 310.589.3950.
