Malibu Youth Football is set to return after local parent Michael Bonewitz and Malibu High School coach Ray Humphrey hosted a meeting regarding the program.
They hope the program will help build local interest in school and sports.
Tammy Averna, a Juan Cabrillo and Malibu High alumni said, “Finally, we won’t have to drive over the hill to participate in youth football.”
There are plans for the program to launch in fall, with clinics and registration.
Coach Ray Humphrey said, “We will finally have a feeder program that will contribute to the success of the Malibu High Sharks football, replicating the success of Santa Monica High and other winning high school teams.”
