Both the Malibu Middle and High School surf teams posted successful performances in recent competitions.
The high school team most recently competed in the Ventura County Fairgrounds surf contest on April 23. Noah Klapp and Saxon Rhodes led the girls team, taking first and second places, respectively, in the longboard final. Klapp took second and Rhodes took fourth in the shortboard final as well. On the boys side, Tanner Vodraska took third place in the shortboard final, Quinn Graham took fourth place in the longboard final and Scout Swing took fourth place in the bodyboard final.
The middle school team traveled to Oceanside this past weekend to compete in State Championships, where they took home second place overall.
