I have been hoping to read current news of Katie Wilkins’ mysterious tragedy, but have seen nothing.
Please do not tell me that A.K. Benton can go about business as usual, completely immersed in his Christian image, without realizing the pain the family of this young girl is experiencing.
Seems to me the Christian thing to do would be to at least meet with her family and encourage his son to do the same. How callous and cowardly to compartmentalize something like this and just go about your day as if nothing happened out of the ordinary. Sad.
Does Pepperdine not have a Board of Directors (elders of the Church, even) who could advise him? His reaction to this sad event is in such extreme conflict to what I believe is the unselfish Christian way of handling this. I totally empathize with the Wilkins family.
