Free Arts for Abused Children will hold its annual fundraiser on Nov. 4. The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Geoffrey’s, located at 27400 Pacific Coast Highway. It will include an auction, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

The local nonprofit offers programs that integrate the healing power of the arts into the lives of children and youth who have been abused, are homeless or are at-risk of falling through cracks in the system, as well as their families in need. Free Arts inspires hope in the lives of these children through innovative arts programs and positive interactions with caring adult volunteers.

Nearly 28,000 children participated in Free Arts programs throughout greater Los Angeles last year. Free Arts for Abused Children screens, trains and supports community volunteers to work directly with children and families living in crisis.

“We know that artistic expression builds self-confidence and self-esteem and that is why the philosophy behind all Free Arts programs is simply that, ‘Art heals,’” Executive Director Karrah R. Lompa wrote in an e-mail.

Tickets can be purchased for $150 each at 310.313.4278 or by going to www.freearts.org.
