Our Lady of Malibu School fourth grade students ended their unit on the 21 California missions earlier this month with “California Mission Days.”
According to OLM, “visitors could ‘tour’ student-created models of the missions the students researched, guided by a ‘character’ who would have lived and worked at each mission” at the event.
To prepare, the students read a historical novel and took a tour of the La Purisima mission, among other lessons. Now, the fourth graders focus on the state’s Rancho period in the 1800s.
