After your lovely story on orcas, seen of the Malibu coast last week, I thought you might like to hear another story about orcas.
Not so many years ago, I got a call from my good friend, Malibu resident Roger Trivette. He said I should come right over, something horrific was happening out in the ocean in front of his house.
I arrived quickly to witness a pack of killer whales attack and eat a gray whale, right before my eyes. The orcas were in a frenzy and attacking and eating the gray whale. The water around the attack was blood red for about a quarter of a mile. It was repulsive. I have never seen anything so gruesome.
They are meat eaters. There are two sides to every story.
