Rafe Esquith will give the fifth lecture in the 2014 Malibu Library Speaker Series on Wednesday, May 21. The series, supported by funding set aside for the County of Los Angeles, the City of Malibu and the Malibu Library, will host Esquith at the Civic Theatre at Malibu City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Rd.
Esquith is an elementary school teacher who is recognized as one of the most inspiring teachers in America. He will discuss three topics: overcoming the racial and economic divide, his book, “Teach like Your Hair’s on Fire,” and education reform.
