Local architect Lester Tobias has written a new book, “Building in the ’Bu: Navigating the Malibu Zoning Code,” which chronicles the process of building a home in Malibu. It discusses the history of the Malibu zoning code and offers suggestions on the Malibu permitting process.
Tobias has been working as an architect for more than 30 years. He has designed homes for a number of well-known Malibu residents, including Julia Roberts, John Cusack and Leonardo DiCaprio.
