Barbara Lynn Hepler died at her home Saturday in Summerland, Calif. from cancer. She was 64.
Born in Lima, Ohio, Hepler lived in Sidney and Dayton before moving to California in 1976. An honors graduate of DePauw University, she was a high school English teacher and a private tutor. She loved art and literature, and was a writer of short stories, poems and screenplays. Hepler was a loving mother to her three sons, Rob, Chad and Micah, and a caring mother-in-law to their wives Sheryl, Hilary and Anna. Hepler is also survived by her beloved grandsons, Matthew, Johnowen and Emmit.
