Updated: 2017 Malibu Fireworks Schedule Released

Fireworks launched from a barge off the Malibu coast light up the sky on the 4th of July 2013

The City of Malibu recently announced two fireworks shows to take place over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

  • Saturday, July 1, Carbon/La Costa Beach
  • Tuesday, July 4, Paradise Cove
  • Tuesday, July 4, Malibu Colony Cove

All professional fireworks shows are permitted to start after 9 p.m., but must finish before 10 p.m. Fireworks are lit off from barges off the coast and permits are granted through the Los Angeles County Fire Department. No private fireworks are permitted in the City of Malibu.

Pet owners throughout the city are encouraged to be mindful of the Independence Day displays by keeping pets indoors.
