Point Dume Marine Science School students raised money for the American Heart Association by participating in a jumping rope event during their physical education classes. The program, Jump for Heart, is a community service project that raises money to help fund heart-related research, such as strokes and heart attacks.

One family jumped to honor their grandfather, who is in his 90s and recently had a heart procedure. His prognosis is that he will live into the 100s.
