A man in his 20s was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning after being shot in Malibu, but is refusing to cooperate with authorities, a sheriff’s official said.
The man was shot in the upper body, but his wounds are “non-life-threatening,” said Lt. Patrick Mathers of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies and paramedics were called at 12:30 a.m. to the 4400 block of Encinal Canyon Road after the victim flagged down a passing motorist.
Fire department officials later transported the victim to a hospital. Mathers said the victim was being “uncooperative” with investigators.
