The California Water Environment Association (CWEA) has recently named the City of Malibu’s clean water environmental initiative “Keep it Clean Malibu” its LA Basin Public Education Program of the Year.

The award, which was conferred upon Environmental Programs Specialist Casey Zweig and Sr. Environmental Programs Coordinator Jennifer Brown by CWEA Los Angeles Basin Section President Miluska Propersi, honors the program, which was established in 2014 to publicize ways residents can help prevent pollution.

According to the City of Malibu, “The awards recognize outstanding achievements by wastewater professionals, facilities and agencies that strive to protect public health and the water environment.”

CWEA is a 501©3 nonprofit that works to educate wastewater professionals and recognize outstanding wastewater professionals and agencies though their extensive awards program.
