The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education is conducting a special meeting Thursday at the district office.
The meeting includes a board and superintendent retreat.
“During this retreat, a facilitator will work with the Board of Education and superintendent to discuss board and superintendent roles and responsibilities,” according to a release from the district. “Such retreats are standard practice throughout the year for a board and superintendent.”
Members of the audience will also be able to address the board about subjects not on the agenda during the public comments section.
The meeting takes place July 18 at the SMMUSD District Office, 1651 16th St., in Santa Monica, at 12 p.m.
