The Story Pirates, a New York- and Los Angeles-based nonprofit for arts and creative writing that strives to celebrate the words and ideas of young people, are scheduled to perform at Pepperdine University on Saturday, Oct. 10. The performance will include a short story written by an Our Lady of Malibu (OLM) School kindergartener, “Police Car.”
The story is a creative, fictionalized account of LASD Deputy Jake Merrifield’s visit to OLM School in late September.
