In conjunction with the interior design firm, Parker Rose, Villa Malibu recently donated $6,000 worth of furniture to the Step Up Women’s Network, a national nonprofit dedicated to strengthening community resources for women and girls.
The donated items include a leather couch and chair, cocktail table, end table, area rug and two floor lamps. Step Up’s downtown Los Angeles office opened earlier this year and is used to create an active community forum (holding both meetings and events) for women and teen girls. Through teen empowerment programs for underserved girls, women’s health education and advocacy, professional mentorship and social networking opportunities, Step Up educates members to ensure that women and girls have the tools they need to create a better future.
