There is a lot of controversy about the several proposed LNG projects. I think BHP’s proposal is the safest, as it is far offshore and should not impact the quality of life in Malibu. I understand the environmental concerns, but somebody is going to build such a project. Check into BHP Billiton’s record. They have been declared “Company of the Year” in Africa, UK and Asia this year. Their management has proven to be responsive to environmental, social and economic considerations in every area in which they operate. I am a small shareholder in this company, which I consider to be best of breed. Challenge them, question them, hold them to high standards, but give their proposal due consideration.
