“Field of dreams dashed” was the perfect headline in The Malibu Times this week!
Rick Mullen, Jefferson Wagner and Skylar Peak talked about fields as though we were talking about a shopping center. They talked like they are experts on the environment.
The reason there is a procedure called the EIR is so that science can tell us what is safe for the environment, not politicians with an agenda. It is called an Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
They voted so that they would remain ignorant so that they would not have to deal with the truth.
Remember, we were voting for an Environmental Impact Report, not a full project moving forward. If the EIR comes back negative, then we know as a city we did a thorough study and then we move on.
It is dangerous to have a motto: “I have already made up my mind, please don’t confuse me with facts.”
There is still time to have another vote.
