I would like to thank the city of Malibu and the police and fire departments for putting on the Public Safety Town Hall Meeting this past Thursday, Sept. 28, on mass violence. Especially after the latest massacre in Las Vegas, it’s sick.
One of the major messages at this meeting for me was that in such a situation: run, hide, fight. Fight means to grab something—go for the hands, wrists and knees of the attacker. It’s something to keep in mind when other life-threatening situations (hopefully do not) arise.
