Original works by Mary Wright were on display on different natural backgrounds. The annual summer showing of her work is set inventively in the natural setting of her home, organized around the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water. Photos by Devon Meyers

The Art on the Land Workshop took place Saturday at the Wright Organic Resource Center, and watercolor artist Mary Wright displayed her nature-inspired work in her Outdoor Art Gallery on Sunday. The center, founded by Eric Lloyd Wright, grandson of Frank Lloyd Wright, is situated on 24 acres in Malibu. Its purpose is to educate and activate “people to be creative, aware and environmentally responsible in all aspects of life,” according to its Web site.
