Over 30,000 questions about Judaism were submitted to the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI), and the most popular were chosen to be addressed in the institute’s six-session winter course, “The Jewish Course of Why” — coming to Chabad of Malibu beginning Feb. 9.
Led by Rabbi Levi Cunin, the course will cover a diverse range of topics geared to appeal to those at all levels of Jewish knowledge The course’s 50 questions involve Jews in Hollywood, the biblical sanction of slavery and animal sacrifices, and causes of antisemitism.
“The Jewish Course of Why gives our participants the opportunity to expand their Jewish knowledge and intellectualize their Judaism by exploring rational insights into the most intriguing questions that Jews have today,” Rabbi Levi Cunin said in a press release by Chabad of Malibu.
