Malibu Times summer intern Bailey Mathews returned to school this week, bidding farewell to the office where he worked all summer helping create Malibu’s weekly newspaper. Mathews, an incoming freshman at Malibu High School, did everything from filing paperwork and working on the paper’s website to writing news briefs.
Mathews’ internship was part of the Malibu Boys and Girls Clubs’ Career Launch program, which provides high school-aged scholars an opportunity to learn in a professional atmosphere and mentorship as they begin contemplating their careers.
