The Malibu Jewish Center and Synagogue’s school and preschool recently celebrated the modern State of Israel’s 64th birthday. The event included a Shuk, or an Israeli market, where the students could spend pretend money on items ranging from toys to baked goods that they earned throughout the year. The celebration also featured authentic Israeli food and dancing.
