Last week the Malibu High School Equestrian Team finished up its best season yet by placing fourth overall for the season out of more than 65 schools across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Competing in the Interscholastic Equestrian League, the Novice Division Riders brought home the Reserve Championship Ribbon and Silver Plate for their second-place finish in the division. The team did particularly well in dressage, with Kelsey Holmes winning the Year-End Championship for Junior Varsity Dressage, and Renie Walczuk and Edie Denker finishing second and third in Novice Dressage. Also, Bridget Helm finished in fourth place for the Varsity Jumpers while Abby Blackwood tied for third place in Novice Equitation.
